Stitch it Up or Stitch it Down, but always Stitch it Together! Here are a few projects to do alone, as part of a group, for yourself, or for the Guild and Community Service projects:
Quilt Show Sale Items: with our Quilt Show scheduled for September 29 & 30, 2023, this is a great time to start making some quilted or sewn items to sell at the Guild fund raiser table. Some suggestions include mug mats, bowl cozies, key fobs, wallets/coin purses, placemats, fat quarter cupcakes. Perhaps you’ve got old quilt magazines, patterns, a table runner, bed “rug,” or quilt you’d like to donate? Do you have other ideas? Please let Karen know and she’ll add them to the list.
Scrappy Celebration Stitch-a-long from American Patchwork & Quilting (Lynda)
The first month (March) is buying the magazine and choosing your fabrics. This is a great project for using your scraps. In April, we will sew blocks A and B, in May we will sew blocks C and D, and so on. We will finish the quilt top in October.
Sparrows Stitch-a-long (Lynda)
Announcing a winter sew along to get you ready to celebrate spring! The Sparrows sew along will kick-off on January 24, 2022, the day of our guild meeting. Share yourr progress and tips in the WRQG Facebook group.
